Alicia Garaventa, APRN, RNFA
Alicia Garaventa, APRN, RNFA received her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno, as well as a post Masters Certificate in Nursing Education. Alicia is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and she received an additional certification as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) from the National Institute of First Assisting.
Alicia has over 17 years of clinical experience in the healthcare field, and has a diverse background which includes primary care, internal medicine, neurosurgery, women's health, and education. Alicia was an assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Reno at Orvis School of Nursing for several years, where she taught both undergraduate and graduate nursing students, focusing on critical care, medical/ surgical patient care, and health assessment. Education is very important to Alicia, and she is a three time Alum of the University of Nevada, Reno. She joined the Vein Nevada Minimally Invasive Vein Institute practice in 2018.
Alicia works alongside Dr. Stefan Franciosa and the staff at Vein Nevada. Her responsibilities include new patient consultations, sclerotherapy procedures and post procedural follow ups, physical exams, patient and community education, diagnostic assessments, and developing care plans.
